On Saturday, October 18, 2025, the team at Castle Subaru McHenry hosted their annual Fetch A Friend Pet Adoption Event, welcoming local families, animal lovers, and community partners for an afternoon dedicated to helping pets find loving homes. As part of the nationwide Subaru Loves Pets initiative, this event supports Subaru’s ongoing mission to promote animal welfare and connect rescue pets with their forever families.
The 2025 event featured several adoptable dogs and cats from A Heart for Animals Shelter in Huntley, IL—a no-kill, volunteer-run rescue known for its foster-based model and dedication to saving animals in need. One lucky pet found a forever home during the event, and many others met potential adopters and new supporters.
Attendees also donated pet food, supplies, toys, and treats to support the shelter’s continued efforts. Special thanks go out to the volunteers, Hannah B. from 102.3 Free Country FM for her help promoting the event, and all who contributed to making the day a success.
